The US Bureau of Education Consolidation of Rural Schools Glass Slide Presentation consists of lantern slides and a lecture booklet that are apart of a presentation that would have been given to residents of rural communities. The lecture and its corresponding slides can be divided into five areas. First is a discussion and photographs that compare rural schools to consolidated schools; a discussion and photographs that describe the advantages of consolidated schools; a discussion and photographs of the types and ways of transporting children to and from school, a discussion and photographs showing the progress that has been made in the modernization of daily life; and finally a discussion and several charts and graphs that compare rural and consolidated schools.
